Who is Laurel?
Laurel is a Sydney professional Hair and Makeup Artist based in the upper north shore suburb of Wahroonga with more than two decades experience in the Television, Advertising, fashion, Skincare and Cosmetics industries in both the UK and Australia.
Her easygoing nature and technical expertise see her create hair and makeup designs for many mediums, including Australian Fashion Week, television shows such as Packed to the Rafters, and Beauty and the Geek.
Her advertising clients include Rimmel London, Commonwealth Bank, Cannon, Sony, Qantas, Levis, Schick, Macleans, ResMed, Australias Next Top Model, and Lego. She is a regular at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation weaving her magic to ensure the news, sports and weather presenters are camera ready and looking their very best.
Laurel divides her time between creative work and consulting to the corporate sector. She has provided consultative services and advice to global giants such as COTY, LVMH, Trimex, and also both David Jones and Myer. She has worked on campaigns and educational programs for Make Up For Ever, Dior, Laura Mercier, Benefit Cosmetics, and Rimmel London.
Throughout the 2000’s under her brand Prep People, Laurel also regularly designed and delivered bespoke face to face and online training programs which inspire and upskill customer facing teams, to ensure they present immaculately and in-line with brand values. Her customers include Gucci, Qantas, Nespresso, Westin, Hilton, Sheraton, McDonalds, Craveable Brands (Red Rooster) and Serco.
